Red Wine: Futures

Proprietor's Reserve

Our 2014 vintages of our Pere Cabernet Sauvignon, Pugsley Syrah and DBA Red Blend have all been bottled and are awaiting release in April 2017.  Each of these wines are limited release and have been carefully crafted from grapes, hand-farmed on our estate on Atlas Peak.  These are our proprietor's reserve wines.

DBA is our proprietors’ blend and captures the essence of the terroir of our hillside vineyards and volcanic soil. The blend is comprised of the four varietals we grow on our estate; Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Merlot. DBA derives its’ name from the vineyards’ proprietors and reflects the love and passion of our more than 40 years together.  DBA can be enjoyed now and, like a beautiful relationship, will continue to improve over the years.

Our flagship Cabernet Sauvignon is named after our suave, dapper and much beloved patriarch. The volcanic soil and rocky terrain on Atlas Peak present challenging growing conditions which result in complex and nuanced Bordeaux varietals. Like its’ namesake, Pere is elegant and will age gracefully.

Our estate grown Syrah is named after our demanding and mischievous rescue pug. Our Syrah vines thrive in our rocky, volcanic soil. The wine exhibits a pleasing minerality and is packed with copious quantities of blackberry and blueberry fruit. Pugsley features the characteristic spice and spunk of its namesake.
