Debb's Smoked Salmon Pate
Impromptu gatherings with friends and family are as much a part of our wine country life as anywhere else in the country. We often celebrate “happy hour” on Friday after a hectic week in the vineyards and tasting room. Here is a staple which Debb whips up and pairs with fresh cucumbers from our garden.

8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed Meyer lemon juice
1 tablespoon minced fresh dill
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 pound (8 ounces) smoked salmon, shredded
Dash of Tabasco or Crystal Hot sauce
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until well incorporated. Fold in salmon and press into serving dish.
Chill for 1 hour.
Serve with cucumber slices and rye toast points.
